Govt Approves Rs 4,969 Cr Under PMMSY for Small Fishing Communities

Department of Fisheries, under Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY), has sanctioned projects worth Rs 4,969.62 crore across FY2020-21 to FY2023-24 and current fiscal year FY25. With a central share of Rs 1,823.58 crore, scheme focuses on developing India’s fisheries sector and enhancing welfare of small-scale and traditional fishers. Key initiatives include:
